Student News 2008

Over this year our pupils have been very busy indeed.

Hannah Griffiths performed at the prestigious Imperial Ballet Awards in May.

Sophie Martin was accepted onto The A Level Dance course at The Royal Academy of Dance and has just finished her first year there receiving an A grade in her AS Dance. She also attended a summer school at Bird College.

Sophie Martin, Anna Crane & Lucy Russell appeared in the HLOS production of Sweet Charity in March.

Abigail Bedford was accepted by all the universities she applied for. She left us to study Dance & Psycology in September.

Georgie Eagles appeared as an orphan in a local production of Annie in April.

Hannah Griffiths, Sara Clayton, Lisa Vettesse & Emily Wigley were accepted by The English Youth Ballet Company and performed in their production of Giselle at The Gordon Craig Theatre in March.

Various pupils attended the Footloose Dance Workshop taken by Steven Houghton in Feb.

Hannah Griffiths has been accepted onto the Junior Conservatoire programme at The Arts Educational Schools at Tring Park and will be appearing in their Christmas production of The Snow Queen.

Nicole & Rachel Bowman appeared in The Harpenden Youth Theatre production of Annie at The Harpenden Public Halls in June.

Sara Clayton is attending Saturday classes at The Central School of Ballet

Anna Crane & Georgie Eagles are appearing in Hlos production of Oliver in March

Sara Clayton has b een awarded a place with The English Youth Ballet Company & will be appearing in Coppelia in August

Katie Davies took part in the Strictly Dancing competition of St Albans Primary schools.

Sara Clayton is attending Saturday classes at the prestigious Central School of Ballet.

Hannah Griffiths is a senior associate of The Arts Educational Schools at Tring

Sophie Martin has been awarded a place at The Stella Mann College and will start professional dance training in September 2009.

STUDENT NEWS 2010

Megan Dixon, Fiona Elledge, Sophie Roche, Charlotte Collins & Charlotte Coleman performed in The Gang Show at Harpenden Public Halls in January.

Maya & Tara Beresford are appearing in the professional touring production of Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Alban Arena in January.

Elena Forrest is appearing in The Gang Show at The Alban Arena in February

Sara Clayton has been accepted by the Arts Educational Schools at Tring and will commence her full time professional training in September. Congratulations Sara!

Tara Beresford is appearing at The london Palladium in July

Caitlin & Thomas Pentland are taking part in the EYB outreach scheme at Arts Educational schools at Tring this summer

Sara Clayton passed her RAD Intermediate exam with Distinction.

Hannah Griffiths has been accepted into the EYB programme at Ayelsbury in the summer. she will also commence A level dance at Collective Studios in Rickmansworth.

Naeve Richards, Daisy Herron, Anna Kincaid & Grace Reid performed a tap group dance to Singing in the rain at the St Alban & Stephen Summer concert
