The Staff

Principal Miriam Bold                                                          

Miriam trained at The Dance Studio from the age of ten and then went on to The London College Of Dance. Here she gained The Diploma of The ISTD and her associate examinations. After leaving college she taught for Chelsea Ballet schools in London, Bodywork Dance Studios in Cambridge and many schools in the home counties. Miriam went on to pass her Associate Diploma of the ISTD and her RAD teaching certificate. Prior to becoming principal of The Dance Studio Miriam was Head of Dance at PIpers Corner school in High Wycombe where she was responsible for teaching all styles of dance to girls from age 3 to 18, including GCSE and A level Dance.

Miriam took over The Dance Studio in 2002 and lives in St Albans with her husband and two children.

Samantha Tewfik                             

Samantha also trained at The Dance Studio from the age of three and then went on to study at 'The College' under the direction of Penny Meekings where she achieved her CDE and FDI qualifications.She is an experienced teacher who has taught for local dance schools as well as in further education. Samantha is a young, vibrant and enthusiatic teacher who always seeks to get the best out of her students. She is adored by the little ones and the teenagers love the challenge of her street dance classes.

Samantha lives locally with her  husband Matthew.

Hayley Winton                          

Hayley trained at the Bird College of Performing Arts in Kent. She then pursued a performing career, dancing both at home and abroad. Since then she has been teaching all styles of dance at the Collective School of Dance & Drama in Rickmansworth and various primary schools. Hayley is an  inspirational teacher , full of energy and fun who motivates her students to achieve the best they can. She is an experienced choreographer who is an asset to our team. 

Stephanie Holden                  

Stephanie  trained at The Centre for Performing Arts where she achieved her FDI and CDE qualifications. She has taught in many London Dance schools and is an experienced choreographer. Stephanie is full of energy and specialises in fast paced and dynamic jazz classes and the challenging rhythm of Tap. Students love her challenging and fun classes.

Christina Hadijsavvas

Christina trained at The College with Penny Meekings where she gained her FDI and CDE qualifications. She is a lovely teacher who is sensitive to the needs of her students and especially caring with the little ones. She is experienced in teaching all styles of dance and has taught for various local dance schools. Christina always gives her best to every student and is suited to teaching all ages. She is a much valued member of the team.

           

Sophie Mays                         

Sophie completed her BA in Dance Performance at Middlesex University and then attended The College to complete her teacher training. She is an experienced performer and has danced professionally both at home and overseas. She is now a committed teacher teaching pupils from 3 years to adult. Her warm and friendly manner engages all the students that she teaches. She is also a very creative and gifted choreographer.
