Exams

We enter children for examinations in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern & Jazz

Examinations are not compulsory and children who do not wish to take them simply move to the next grade.

Exam candidates enter the room in small groups and demonstrate the appropriate syllabi singly and as a group.  A sound technique as well as a sense of performance is expected. Certificates are awarded and children feel a real sense of pride in their acheivements. As part of the preparation process candidates must attend a course of five coaching classes which are usually at weekend or in a crash course the week immediately prior to the exam.
