Our School

The Dance Studio has been established for 35 years and has become a highly respected school with approximately 650 pupils attending classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Acrobatic Arts  & Jazz Dance throughout Harpenden and St Albans.

The Dance Studio is dedicated to bringing out the best in every child. Whether the aim is to improve coordination, to gain confidence and grace, to learn the joy of movement or to train for a career in dance. Every child is important.  We provide opportunities for children and adults of all ages to experience the thrill of performance, the satisfaction of setting goals and achieving them and to learn the personal disciplines inherent in dance. All our classes are conducted by our wonderful team of experienced and professional teachers.

Our amazing faculty are passionate about dance and conform to the exacting standards of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, the leading exam body in the world.   Classes are suitable for those wishing to attend once a week or equally those dance mad or especially gifted students who just can't stay away!  Many of our past pupils have attended high profile Associate Programmes, Summer Schools and have gone on to study at top Performing Arts Colleges.

We have had students appear in West End Productions, Pantomimes and dance with the renowned English Youth Ballet & National Youth Ballet Companies.  ISTD exams are held termly and all our students perform in our bi-annual school show, which is staged to a professional standard.  There are also numerous opportunities for performing in local events.

The Dance Studio has provided the dancers and choreographed the prestigious Harpenden Pantomime and also takes dancers to perform in high profile productions such as Class Talent at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Our Junior, Inter & Senior Performance Teams participate in high profile performances and selected competitions
